Inspired by contemporary burlesque icon Dita Von Teese, decades of utility wear and future fabric innovations, SP11 is a true mix of the past, the present and the future. Remaining true to the very essence of the Margit Brandt universe, SP11 adds contemporary style to the mix to once again create a modern and fresh feminine collection.
The collection juxtaposes opposites; shiny and matt; tight and voluminous; feminine and masculine; minimalism and maximalist to find the perfect balance between ladylike and casual.
Mix delicate silk utility trousers with high heels, a print cotton top and a buttery soft leather jacket.
Wear roll-up cotton chinos with a feminine drape front silk blouse or a lace tank top under a casual cotton canvas jacket with contrast piping. Opt for a short tulip skirt teamed with a crisp white shirt, masculine leather tie and belted waist. Or take the easy option: nothing but a trench coat!
SP11 embraces the latest fabric innovations with jacquard and waffle woven silks and bamboo cotton knit.
Suiting is found in an exclusive linen mix, casual cotton herringbone, relaxed lines and classic suit fabrics.
Margit Brandt’s leather collection expands with this collection to comprise five different leather and suede qualities including heavy wash to achieve a used surface texture, shiny coating with an organic structure and buttery soft and smooth lambskins for more exclusive styles.
The collection employs lace – as main fabric as well as trim, fine gauge knits, and jersey qualities that offer comfort, softness and drape effect. The collection comprises prints such as all-over prints, a retro print from the 70s, a two-tone print and a modern art print. Placement prints include Margit’s fingerprint, a 1970s black and white image of Margit and a peacock feather print.
This season, Margit Brandt has focused on expanding their range of accessories. Studded leather sandals, suede flats, mobile purses, cotton clutch bags and straw hats are essentials that will perfectly compliment the look by adding utilitarian chic. The colour palette is a beautiful range of earthy cargo tones; dusty blue, sage green, vanilla cream and burnt red hues highlighted with a hint of bright yellow.
