免疫调节失去平衡影响机体的免疫应答而引起的疾病 。广义的免疫性疾病还包括先天或后天性原因导致的免疫系统结构上或功能上的异常(见表)。
免疫性疾病的诊断分两步。首先要明确疾病的性质是否属于免疫性疾病，是哪一类的免疫性疾病。这个目的一般比较容易达到，因为各种免疫性疾病都有其临床特点，根据病史和检查，多数可以作出诊断。其次要确定导致疾病的原因。这有时很容易，如同种异体移植的排移反应，往往通过病史即可明确病因；有时则极端困难，如自身免疫性疾病。
免疫性疾病的防治可遵循以下原则：①免疫缺陷可应用替代疗法，如丙种球蛋白缺乏所致的免疫缺陷可应用丙种球蛋白治疗 ； 还可应用免疫加强剂来提高机体的免疫反应性。②脱离或避免导致异常免疫反应的物质，如控制环境、停用某些药物等。③Ⅰ型变态反应可进行特异性脱敏疗法来提高机体对致敏物质的耐受性。④Ⅰ型变态反应还可应用药物来抑制介质的产生，以阻断免疫反应。⑤应用药物来拮抗介质的作用和它们导致的组织反应。⑥用免疫抑制剂来抑制过度活跃的免疫反应。⑦除去激发免疫反应的感染灶和产生自身免疫的病灶。⑧清除可使临床症状加重的各种刺激。
