[00:07.44]Peter's uncle lived in the country.
[00:11.05]Once Peter went to stay with him for a few weeks.
[00:14.73]Whenever they went for a walk or for a drive in the car and they passed somebody,his uncle waved.
[00:22.07]Peter was surprised,and said,"Uncle George,you know everybody here.
[00:27.72]Where did you meet them all?"
[00:29.20]"I don't know all these people,"said his uncle.
[00:32.63]"Then why do you wave to them?"asked Peter.
[00:35.63]"Well,Peter,"answered his uncle,"when I wave go someone and he knows me,he is pleased.
[00:42.00]He continues his journey with a happier heart.
[00:45.04]But when I wave to someone and he doesn't know me,
[00:48.46]he is surprised and says to himself."
[00:51.04]Who is that man?Why did he wave to me ?"
[00:54.00]So he something to think about during the rest of his journey,
[00:57.63]and that makes his joutney seem shorter.So I make everybody happy."

[01:05.12]What Would You Like to Do Tonight?
[01:07.60]Mary's cousins,Fay and Rosemary,are still at her house.
[01:12.46]The girls want to go to the movies.
[01:14.89]They look in the newspaper to see what time the movie start.
[01:18.55]After seeing the movie,they go the an ice cream parlor and order their favorite desserts.
[01:24.51]MARY:Girls,what would you like to do tonight?
[01:28.29]ROSEMARY:Do you ever go to the movies?
[01:30.44]MARY:Of course.I often go to the movies.
[01:33.39]ROSEMARY:Well,let's go to the movies.
[01:35.71]MARY:There's a good movie near here:"Summer in Maine".
[01:39.55]FAY:Fine.I heard it's a very good movie.
[01:43.65]ROSEMARY:Let's find out what time it starts.
[01:46.76]MARY:Let's look at the newspaper.Movie programs are usually on page nine.
[01:52.14]FAY:Here it is."Summer in Maine"starts at 8 o'clock.

[03:15.29]Bert:Well,I'm not likely to get a rise and you haven't the money for a mink coat,
[03:21.61]so let's come sown to earth and heav another drink.

[03:27.46]Bert:I'll have a pint of the best.
[03:29.74]Fred:I'd have s Scotch if I were you.We deserve it.
