科技部部长王志刚：促进人工智能为经济社会发展作出贡献
WangZhigang, ministerofscienceandtechnology, hascalledonChinesescientistsandcompaniestobetterfacilitatethedevelopmentandethicaluseofartificialintelligence.
3月5日上午，科技部部长王志刚在十四届全国人大一次会议首场“部长通道”上表示，希望中国的科研人员和企业在人工智能领域能够有更多的好成果。同时还要注意，怎么样规范科技伦理，趋利避害。
Chinahasconductedyearsofresearchinnaturallanguageprocessingandunderstanding, thetechnologythatmadeChatGPTpossible, Wangsaidonthesidelinesofthefirstplenarysessionofthe 14thNationalPeople'sCongressinBeijingonSunday.
王志刚表示，中国在自然语言处理和理解方面进行了多年的研究，正是这项技术使ChatGPT成为可能。
"WhetheritisChineseorforeigncompanies, wehopemorepeoplecancreatebetterproductsinthefieldofartificialintelligence," hesaid. "Butatthesametime, wehavetopayattentiontoscientificandtechnologicalethicsandtrytotakeadvantageofthetechnologywhileavoidingitsdownsides."
王志刚说：“我们也希望，中国的企业也好，国外的企业也好，大家在人工智能领域能够有更多的好成果。同时，我们还要注意，怎么样规范科技伦理，趋利避害。”
WangsaidChinaproposedaneight-itemprincipleonAIgovernancein 2019 thatencouragesthesafe, fairandresponsibleuseofAI.
王志刚说，我国在2019年首先提出人工智能治理方面的“八项原则”；鼓励安全、平等和负责任地使用人工智能。
Inaddition, ChinahasdevelopedseveralapplicationscenariosforAI, suchassmartports, tofacilitatethecommercializationofAItechnologies, hesaid.
我国近期还推出了智能码头等若干个示范应用场景，推动人工智能转化应用。

王志刚表示，希望人工智能能为中国经济社会发展作出贡献。他也希望从事人工智能研究、转化的大学、科研院所、企业为推动人工智能发展、为国际社会作出中国贡献。
