  范文赏析

  Readingisaprocessofprocuringknowledgeandthewaysofreadingvaryforstudentsbetweenreadingontheirownandreadingastoldbytheirteachers. Asforme, itwillbemorebeneficialtoreadbooksinlinewithstudentswishes.

Foronething, studentsshouldreadwhattheyarecuriousaboutandcanfindinterestsin, whichcanfindwideapplicationamongcollegestudentsinparticular. Inordertohoneonestalentsandcraftswithspecificpurpose, collegestudentswillfindthemorepracticalbookstoreadtostrengthentheircompetencefortheirfuturecompetingwithotherrivalsinthejobmarket. TakeSteveJobsasanexample. Afterattendingthecollegejustforafewmonths, hecouldntfigureouthowthecollegelifewouldhelphiminthefutureexceptforimposinghisworkingfamilyenormousfinancialpressure. Then, hedecidedtodropoutsohecouldstoptakingtherequiredclassesandreadingtheassignedreadingmaterialsthatdidnotinteresthimandbegandroppinginontheonesthatlookedinteresting. Finally, thelastseveralmonthsforhiscollegelifeturnedouttobepricelesslateronsincehetookacalligraphyclassandreadtherelativebooks, theknowledgeofwhichhadbeenappliedtoproducethefirstcomputerwithbeautifultypography. Evidently, partofSteveJobsaccomplishmentscanprovehowessentialforstudentstoreadbyfollowingtheirowncuriosityandintuition.

Foranotherthing, studentscanbemoreabsorbedinthebooksthattheylike. Tobemorespecific, comparedwiththeassignedpapersorarticles, studentsincentivecanbemorestimulatedbyreadingwhattheylike. Forinstance, theprevailingnotionofchildrenseducationisthattheyshoulddeveloptheirowninterestsbyreadingwhatcanintriguetheirinquisitivenessorstimulatetheirimagination. Therefore, thereisavoicecomingouttodaythatmorefreedomneedstobegiventoprimaryschoolstudentssothattheycanreadsomemoreinterestingbookslikethescience-fictionnovelsortalesandetc. Besides, toomuchfocusoncultivatingstudentsacademicabilitiesandtheignoranceofdevelopingtheiroverallqualitieswillleadtothedevelopmentofeliteswithlessmorality. Obviously, thebenefitsofreadingbooksbystudentsthemselvesandthedetrimentofjustreadingasassignedbyteacherscantellushowimportanttogivestudentsrightstochoosewhattheyread.

Admittedly, readingwhatteachersassignedcanbeofalsoimportance. Inotherwords, teacherswillbefamiliarwithwhichareastudentsshouldbeimprovedtoachievebetteracademicperformance. Forinstance, teacherswillrequirestudentstoengageinextensivereadingtoincreasestudentsreadingability. However, itcannotbethereasontoregardreadingasstudentswishasinferiorbecausestudentscanbetterimprovetheirreadingabilitybybeingabsorbedinwhattheylikemost.

  Toconclude, studentsshouldenjoytherightstodecidewhattheyread.
