When I was in my hometown, I observed the chickens. I found that when they were born, they were wet and soon dried. Why were they wet when they were born? I went to ask my mother with curiosity, and she couldn't make it clear.

Why on earth are chickens born wet? I checked the Encyclopedia of 100000 why's, which explained: "when the chicks are born, their hair will be wet. This is because when the chicks are born, there is a protective film outside, so that the chicks won't be hurt, and then it will disappear." Oh, so it is.

I also found that chickens sometimes eat sand. Why? I checked the data, and the book explained that "sometimes chickens eat too much and are not easy to digest, so they use sand to help digest."

Today, I'm very happy. I not only know why the fluff is wet when the chickens are born, but also I have gained some knowledge!
