MOSCOW, Feb. 14 -- Russia, TurkeyandIranonThursdayagreedonseveralkeydirectionsoffutureinteractioninthesettlementoftheSyriancrisisafteratrilateralsummitoftheirpresidentsintheRussiancityofSochi.
"ItisveryimportantthatourthreecountriesintendtostrengthencooperationwithintheframeworkoftheAstanaprocess, whichproveditsnecessity," RussianPresidentVladimirPutinsaidatapressconference, following "constructiveandbusinesslike" talkswithhisTurkishandIraniancounterparts.
"Wewillcontinuetoenhanceoureffortsinfightingterrorism, promotingintra-SyriandialogueandimprovingthehumanitariansituationinSyria," hesaid.
Inparticular, thepresidentsagreedtocontinuetheeffortstoeradicatemilitantsinSyria'srebel-heldIdlibprovinceandtotakeadditionalstepsinfinallyeliminatingthetensionandreachingstabilizationinthisregion.
Meanwhile, thethreecountrieswillhelpSyriaestablishacommitteetocarryoutconstitutionalreformsinthecountry, Putinsaid.
"Wehaveagreedtocontributebyjointeffortstothemostrapidstartofworkoftheconstitutionalcommittee, whichistoworkonthefundamentalaspectsofthefuturestatesystemofSyria," hesaid.
Itisnecessarytoapprovethelistofparticipantsofthecommittee, mostofwhichhavealreadybeenagreedonwiththeSyriangovernmentandtheopposition, andelaborateregulationsforthemainparametersofitsfunctioning, Putinadded.
