Inthatcase, thestudysaid, thetariffswouldreducetheU.S. grossdomesticproductby 1 percentayear, costafamilyoffour 2,300 dollarsayearandproduceanetlossof 2.1 millionU.S. jobs.
InMinnesota, whichaccordingtothestudymightlose 16,100 jobsinthebasescenario, "soybeanfarmerswhodependonsalestoChinaaresufferingfromadoublewhammyofnaturalandman-madeproblems," thestate'slargestnewspaper, StarTribune, reported.
