"Withtheseenormouschallenges, weneedtodevelopgreeneconomies. Weneedtomakesurethatthedevelopmentwedoissustainable. Forexample, weareworkingwithpartiesheretodevelopnewwaysofprovidinggreenjobs, forexampleareasthatyoucanpreserve, [like] forests, andatthesametimeproducecropsthatareappropriateforpeopletosellandtoeat.
Soweneedtobethinkingabouthowtopreservethenaturalprocessesandatthesametimeprovidefortheeconomicneedsofthecountry," saidSmith.
