"Gendernormsandsocialexpectationsaboutcaregivingmaymakeitmoredifficultformentoprovidecaretosickspouses," Karrakersaid. "Andbecauseoftheimbalanceinmarriagemarkets, especiallyinolderages, divorcedmenhavemorechoicesamongprospectivepartnersthandivorcedwomen."
