2014年6月英语六级考查的依然是短文翻译，较之以前的补全句子，整体在难度上，增加了不少。凡是参加考试的同学，90%以上的同学都会觉得难。
主要体现在话题词不会表达，比如“违章建筑”，“可持续战略报告”，“结构性障碍”，“节能减排”等这些短语，相对来讲都会有一定的难度。此外，对于一些基本的句式拿捏不准。当一个句子出现多个动词的时候，绝大多数同学不知该如何转译。
这里举一个简单的例子，“市政府还计划建造一批水循环利用工厂，并制止违章建筑，以改善环境。”在这个句子里出现了“计划”“建造”，“制止”，“改善”这样几处动词，如果我们把这几处动词全部作为一个句子的谓语动词的话，那在表述上一定会是错误的。那具体该如何处理呢？当一个中文句子出现多处谓语动词时，我们需要把其中一个动词作为谓语动词，其它的动词变形，处理成非谓语动词，比如动词不定式，分词形式即可。那上面的句子就可以表达为“Themunicipalgovernmentalsoplanstobuildsomeplantsforcyclingwater, banningillegalconstructionstoimprovetheenvironment.”
