Oneargumentagainstallowingthecollegestudentstotapthee-devicesmightinvolvethelearningefficiencythattheprofessorwanttomaintainfortheundergraduatesfromforbiddingtheuseofe-devices. Thisisbecausebyprohibitingtheuseoftheelectronicdevices, studentswouldberemovedthelikelydistractorsofthecourses, sothattheyarelesslikelytobedistractedbytheappealingheadlines, discountinformationorgossipsofpersonalitiesduringthesessionsofthelecture.
