性质：分子量4 2000。肌肉结构蛋白的一种，肌原纤维细丝中的主要成分。它是由一条多肽链组成。分子构型呈球形，有方向性，一般称球状肌动蛋白(G-肌动蛋白)；当增加溶液的离子强度，在Mg2+存在下，许多个(300～400)G-肌动蛋白按同一前后方向聚合成长链，称为纤维状-肌动蛋白(F-肌动蛋白)。在肌原纤维细丝中，以两条F-肌动蛋白链相互盘绕成双股螺旋。主要存在于横纹肌原肌纤维细丝及平滑肌中，司肌肉运动和细胞运动的重要蛋白质。
