Step 1: Class Opening
T: Good afternoon, boys and girls.
Ss: Good afternoon, teacher!
T: Hello, everyone! How are you today?
Ss: Hello, Joy! Very well.
T: What day is it today?
Ss: It’s Thursday.
T: What’s the weather like?
Ss: It’s sunny.
T: How do you feel on sunny days?
Ss: I feel happy.
Step 2: Warming up
1. Look at the teacher’s calendar.
2. Sing the song “Happy birthday”.
Step 3: Lead in by the calendar and the song.
Step 4: Presentation
1. New words
2. Listen to the tape and try to finish Exercise 1 on Page 51. Tick the pictures.
3. Introduce something about the dialogue by pictures and explain some language points
4. Drill
① Read after the teacher.
② Let the students read the dialogue in groups.
5. Practice
Get the students come to the front and act out the dialogue in groups.（Student A is ……, Student B is …….）
