AfullcityblockintheheartofWashington, D.C., youdidn’thavetobeavisionarytoseethepotential, despitethefactthatinrecentyears, timehastakenitstollonthisnationaltreasure.
In 2011, theOldPostOfficewasconsideredthemostsought-afterredevelopmentopportunityinthecountry, andmyfatherandIfoughthardagainstthelargesthotelcompaniesanddevelopersintheworldtowinthedeal. Overthecourseofeightmonths, ourteamworkednonstoptostudythebuildingandstrategizethebestapproachtorestoreittoitsfullpotential – andthensome.
Afteranexhaustiveevaluationprocess, wewereultimatelyawardedthedealbytheUnitedStatesgovernment. Wewereselectedbyapanelofjudgesbasedoncriteriathatincludedourvisionfortheproperty, thestrengthandexperienceofourdevelopmentteam, ourcompany’sfinancialwherewithal, ourtrackrecord, andourplantobringvibrancytoPennsylvaniaAvenue.
OneofthereasonsIloverealestate – apassioninheritedfrommyfather – isbecauseattheendofyears’ hardwork, thereexistsatangiblevalidationofyoureffortsandtheeffortsofsomanypeople.
