这一次，亚马逊新泽西厂房的24名工人被现场的一台机器人送进了医院，这台机器人不小心碰触到了一瓶驱熊喷雾，导致喷雾剂喷到了周围的员工身上。

据ABC新闻旗下WABC报道，除了24名受害者被送往当地5家医院外，还有30名受害者在现场接受了治疗。

零售、批发和百货公司工会主席斯图尔特·阿佩尔鲍姆发表了一则声明称：“亚马逊的自动化机器人如今将人类置于危及生命的危险之中，其后果可能是灾难性的，对80多名工人的长期影响尚不清楚。”

"Therichestcompanyintheworldcannotcontinuetobeletoffthehookforputtinghardworkingpeople'slivesatrisk. OurunionwillnotbackdownuntilAmazonisheldaccountablefortheseandsomanymoredangerouslabourpractices," Stuartsaid.
斯图尔特表示：“这个世界上最富有的公司不能因为置辛勤工作员工的生命于危险之中而继续逍遥法外。我们工会不会对此置之不理，亚马逊必须对此事甚至许多更危险的劳工行为负责。”
